Lifestyle| What’s in my Suitcase

I think I'm the only person in the world who loves packing, whether it’s a weekend away or a two-week get-away to Greece – I really enjoy it. It gets me really excited for my trip and I love planning what I'm going to be wearing and what make-up looks to go for.
Luckily enough, I'm off to Venice for a long weekend away with my mum. As we fly early on Friday morning I thought I would share with you guys what I’d be taking with me on my city break. We only have a hand luggage allowance, so I won’t be taking as much as I usually would.

My hand luggage case is from

Poncho, Primark, £10
I wasn’t really a fan of these ‘blanket’ type ponchos - I guess it was because I was unable to find one that didn’t swamp me and was more chic than ‘blanket’ looking. One my way out of Tottenham Court Road, Primark, I found this sitting on the end of a rail…it was the only one and at £10 I could resist. The print and shape really reminds me of the Burberry Prorsum A/W 14 personalised ponchos (I wish mine was!) Despite the lack of initials, this item is a defo must-have for my Venice get-away.

Fedora, Urban Outfitters, £24
Floppy hats are having quite a moment this A/W. I picked this felt fedora up at, Urban Outfitters, last year but haven’t been able to wear it since and I've decided that this trip is the perfect excuse. Its deep burgundy colour is so versatile and can work with many coats and even my poncho!

Fujifilm Instax camera, Argos, £70
I think this is quite possibly my favourite possession EVER. I think it’s strange that cameras that print photos have become a novelty but anyway I absolutely love this camera. The Polaroids are great for keepsakes and albums. The camera also adds a great vintage filter to every picture – making an improvement on my photography skills!

Backpack, Michael Kors, £305
I got this backpack as a gift whilst in Canada earlier this year, I absolutely love it. It’s great for city breaks as it has an iPad pouch and sits nicely on your back. The colour is not so great for A/W given its pastel blue colour but I just love it’s size – perfect for being out and about.

Brightening face primer, That Girl, Benefit, £20.25
Selfies are essential on a city break so I like to prolong my make-up for as long as possible when out exploring. I’m really enjoying this brightening primer by Benefit – it’s especially great for the colder weather as your skin can be quite dull and dry. I apply this under my foundation and it has great staying power with a dewy finish - a must-have for pictures and long walks around the city.

Book, Fashion Babylon, Imogen Edwards-Jones, £6.99

I've been trying to read this book since Uni and failed miserably on every occasion.  Although I might be busy during this long weekend, I'm hoping for some down time during the evenings and on the plane. Fingers crossed I can get through it!
